We think too much and feel too little. More than machinery we need humanity. More than cleverness we need kindness and gentleness. Theater has been my lifelong passion, to which I have devoted much of my life. The International Brazilian Theater Festival Miami was born from a need within my soul—a passion that demanded to be shared here in Miami, where destiny brought me six years ago. ​Theater is the art of the act, the action that can only happen in the present moment. I believe theater is both a dream and a mirror. Through its blend of reality and fantasy, it becomes the enchanted place we all experienced as children, where we played, imagined, and created. The audience comes to see a “play”. It is also a sacred space where we can see ourselves, deepen our understanding of one another, and ultimately envision a better world. My dream is to unite cultures through theater—an art that depends on collaboration, collective effort, and a touch of magic. This project is a seed I’m planting in the hopes that this dream will come true. ​I am profoundly grateful to all the supporters, partners and friends who made this project possible.
