The Third Dionysus Brazilian Theater Festival, The Stories We Carry: Voices of the Feminine, takes place in Miami from November 7–15, 2026, bringing together Brazilian theater, literature, music, and visual arts in a celebration of feminine voices and experiences. The festival opens with Senhora dos Raios e dos Ventos, starring Izabella Bicalho and featuring songs from the repertoire of Maria Bethânia, followed by a special conversation on the life and work of Clarice Lispector with Dr. Steven Butterman at the University of Miami. The program continues with a play from California presented in English and concludes with an immersive theatrical experience that brings together literature, performance, and visual arts. Throughout nine days of programming, the festival explores stories of identity, memory, strength, and transformation—stories that live within us, shape who we are, and deserve to be heard.
